Abaca Press

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season and a report from HITC claims that Tottenham have been alerted to the availability of the Spanish international.

Soler has struggled for regular game time at PSG this season and he needs to move on in search of regular playing time. A move to Tottenham will certainly be an exciting opportunity for him.

There is no doubt that the London club needs to add more craft and control in the middle of the park, and the 27-year-old could prove to be the ideal acquisition. He is capable of operating as a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder, as well as a winger.

Tottenham need to add more quality and depth in the middle of the park if they want to compete for major trophies next season and signing the Spanish midfielder could prove to be a wise decision.

He will be hungry to prove himself at the highest level and he has the physical and technical attributes to do well in the Premier League. He could develop into a key player for Tottenham with the right guidance.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to take up the opportunity and make a move for him in the summer. They will need to agree on a reasonable deal with PSG. Tottenham will not want to overspend for the Spanish midfielder, especially when they have other priorities during the summer transfer window.
